On July 25, the Benelux Chamber of Commerce joined the 2026 Suzhou International Sports & Culture Market, held at the Suzhou Sports Center. Organised by the Foreign Affairs Office and the Information Office of the Suzhou Municipal People's Government, the event brought together representatives from foreign consulates, chambers of commerce, and enterprises in Suzhou for a day celebrating international sports and culture.

Project Manager Flor Baeyens participated in the official opening ceremony alongside other distinguished guests, before the team took to the Benelux Chamber booth for the remainder of the morning. The booth also featured member company BIJEN, whose modern and elegantly designed e-bikes were on display throughout the day and drew the curiosity of visitors passing by.

Following the opening ceremony and a tour of the market, the Benelux Chamber delegation joined a luncheon with the Vice-Mayor of Suzhou and other representatives from foreign consulates and chambers of commerce, exchanging insights on international cooperation and the opportunities Suzhou has to offer. The afternoon continued with visits to the Suzhou Silk Museum and the West Branch of the Suzhou Museum, a fitting conclusion to a day that wove together international exchange and local cultural heritage.

The Benelux Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the Suzhou Municipal Government for the warm welcome and for organising such a rich and well-curated programme, our member and sponsor Suzhou Xiancheng for their kind invitation and support in making our participation possible, and BIJEN for representing the Benelux community at the booth.
