Taste of Belgium Baoshan: A Belgian Summer Festival by the Water

From July 17 to 19, Shanghai Sea World in Baoshan was transformed into a Belgian summer destination as the first edition of Taste of Belgium brought together Belgian flavours, drinks, and culture by the waterfront.

Organised by Shanghai Sea World and Lolypop Events, with the support of the Consulate General of Belgium in Shanghai and the Benelux Chamber of Commerce, the three-day festival offered visitors a taste of Belgium through its iconic food, beers, and live entertainment.

The festival opened with remarks from Pascal Buffin, Consul General of Belgium in Shanghai, and Jonathan Xu, General Manager of the Benelux Chamber of Commerce. Throughout the weekend, visitors explored more than 40 booths featuring Belgian favourites such as fries, waffles, and a wide selection of renowned beers including Kasteel, Hoegaarden, Stella Artois, Westmalle, and many others.

With live music, DJs, and a lively waterfront atmosphere, Taste of Belgium created a unique space for the Shanghai community to experience Belgian culture and hospitality during the summer season.

The Benelux Chamber of Commerce thanks Shanghai Sea World, Lolypop Events, participating brands, and all partners involved in bringing this Belgian celebration to life.
